  • MP Exit Interviews: Breakfast Report Launch

    Oct_30_invite.png

On October 31st, the Samara Centre for Democracy is launching The Real House Lives: Strengthening the role of MPs in an age of partisanship. The third in a series of three reports based on our latest round of exit interviews with former MPs, this report looks at the role of MPs within their political parties.

Please join us at Impact Hub Ottawa for a stimulating presentation and discussion about what former MPs had to say about the rise of extreme partisanship and the dominance of the party in Canadian politics. We'd love to hear your feedback on the report's key findings and recommendations over coffee and pastries!

Impact Hub Ottawa is fully accessible and located near public transit. The event will take place on the 6th floor.

We look forward to kicking off our report and Halloween with you!

RSVP required. Costumes optional. : )

    Educational Videos Questionnaire

    Instructions:

Samara Canada is producing short online videos (5 minutes or less) to educate newcomers, young people and others about Canadian government and politics. To help us decide what topics these videos should cover, we are asking for your feedback!

These videos are intended to supplement other online videos that were created for similar purposes. They will be freely available to schools, community organizations and other groups interested in teaching about Canadian government or politics.

Before you begin the questionnaire, please watch the videos below. It will take less than 15 minutes to watch them.

    1) “What Does Each Level of Government Do?” (6 mins.) by the Springtide Collective - https://youtu.be/BwbnUkxcrV8

    2) “Who Does What?” (4 mins.) by TVO - https://youtu.be/AVE3OsR5W-0

    3) “The Levels of Government” (2 mins.) by CIVIX - https://youtu.be/7C8uDuhLqvg
